The cold winters in Japan slow nacre deposition, producing tighter, denser nacre layers. This is why Akoya-parels have the highest mirror-glans of any gekweekte parels. Pinctada fucata takes 10-18 months to produce a harvestable parel.
Wat is Hanadama Akoya?

What ketting length should I order?
