Yes. The goud pigment is deposited by the goud-lipped Pinctada maxima oyster as nacre forms, layer by layer. There is no treatment or dye involved in our parels. Buyers should be cautious of "golden" parels priced significantly below market — those are typically dyed white South Sea or freshwater.

Loose golden Zuidzeeparels are the working stock voor custom jewelers — single parels for solitaire pendants, gematcht pairs for statement oorbellen, small lots for limited-edition strand opdrachten. These parels come from the goud-lipped variant of Pinctada maxima, harvested predominantly in the Filipijnen and Indonesië. Sizes in current stock run 9mm to 17mm in 1mm increments, with the 11–13 mm band being most-requested. We grade on the standard AAA-AA-A-schaal: AAA is spiegelglans, surface 95% clean, near-round to round shape; AA is high glans, surface 85% clean, near-round acceptable. kleur depth ranges from pale champagne (entry-tier, AA grade common) through deep 24K geelgoud (AAA, premium).
