AAA Zuidzeeparels have nacre thickness of 2–6 mm — by far the thickest of any gekweekte parels (Tahitian 0.8–2.5 mm, Akoya 0.4–0.8 mm). This is why Zuidzeeparels have such depth of glans and why they last generations.
